Expert Analysis
Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Long is shining brightly as time progresses and she has the size, as well as the next level body but as strong as she has shown me around the basket over the years, see evaluations here she is becoming more powerful around the basket on both ends. Add that she’s attacking the basket from multiple spots as well as showing better lateral movement on defense has me waiting for my next surprise from her

Long, yes, she’s a twin, was also one of the standouts at the PGH Freshman Showcase, and I caught her “on the court progression” immediately as she’s scoring multiple ways, but @playerrimidies had her first look during the 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 games, see evaluations here

A young freshman post who stood out with her strong rim awareness. Showed patience and creativity by working the defense and finishing with reverse layups. Her touch and confidence around the basket make her an early standout at her position.

Active and lengthy, Long uses her frame to consistently find cracks in the defense and get to the basket. Displays impressive IQ in the pick-and-roll, especially from the corner, reading the defense and making the right play. Her combination of activity and awareness makes her a constant threat on both ends of the floor.

Long is “Long and athletic” which is the base, and yeah, I knew she could attack the basket from the wing and finish after contact, as well as score around the basket, putbacks included, so yes, she rebounds on both ends. Her court vision from the high post, as well as in the set, keeps getting better, so does her interior defense and that pull-up jumper keeps getting better

Long understands how to get hers “in the flow” as her defense and rebounding, on both ends, seem to always stand out. Her defense both in and outside the paint keeps getting better, so does her court vision, yet she hit the big shot for the win, showing poise under pressure

Long is, you guessed it, the other twin and like her sister which I failed to mention, are both “LONG and athletic” but I’m watching her show she can play outside of the paint more and more and seeing her score from the wing attacking the basket had me smiling. Sure, she scores inside the paint and has good court vision, but her defense has gotten better outside the paint as well

Long as in “long and athletic” but also “strong and athletic” and that was apparent as she gave me some nice moves to score around the basket, “hands and footwork” always get me going yet so did her “turnaround jumper” which will be a game changer. Her midrange jumper looked good, she even scored from multiple spots off the dribble

Long has some nice upside and the first time I saw her see evaluation here but her “hands and footwork” on my second viewing see evaluation here yet her “on the court” progression continues to shine see evaluation here

Long, yes there twins, showed her versatility on both ends starting with her rebounding on both ends yet handling the ball afterward. She also did a good job with her interior defense yet she stepped outside the paint to guard her man. I got a kick out of her going coast to coast and finishing, yet she also dropped the midrange. Her pull-up jumper coupled with her scoring off the dribble will give her options and keep the defender guessing
