drove the ball a little recklessly. James Monroe’s size might have given her trouble finishing at the rim. As the game wore on, Madilyn started to dominate the game as a facilitator and on defense. Madilyn found players on back cuts a number of times, and when she forced turnovers, she made the right pass in transition. She only made one field goal, but I felt like her passing and defense were a huge reason Lord Botetourt went on a big 3rd quarter run that won them the game.

Two really strong games for the Lenoir-Rhyne commit had a strong opening week. She had 17 points, 10 steals and 6 assists in a 46- 32 win! She followed that game up with a 25 point 11 rebounds for a good Lord Botetourt team.

had an outstanding summer and is one of the more well-rounded players in the state. Madilyn has terrific size for a guard and she scores from all over the court. Madilyn’s length, athletic ability, and commitment to defense help make her an outstanding defender. At the very least Madilyn will knock down shots and guard opposing teams’ perimeter scorers. At best, she is a three-level scorer and elite defender. Lord Botetourt should be terrific again, even after losing some great talent. Madilyn will be at the forefront of it and see more offers the more eyes get on her.

The all around wing had a great stat line but her team came up a little short at the end against Riverside! Madilyn pulled out the triple near triple double with 16 points 9 rebounds, 9 steals and 5 assists.

Another player that had a great stat-stuffing week! Averaging 20 points 9 rebounds 4 steals and 3 assists a game! Helping Lord Botetourt off to a 3-0 start to the season. Madilyn also shot over 40 percent from three-point land and shot nearly 80 percent from the free-throw line!

Madilyn had a strong showing in fall league, caught the attention of several folks. She is a long athlete, standing 5’10 and can play any perimeter position. Capable ball handler, rebounds well and pushes ahead in transition. Unselfish player who reads the floor well, looks and passes ahead. She makes crisp one handed passes off the bounce with either hand leading to high percentage shots. She moves well without ball increasing her scoring opportunities, puts ball on floor and gets to the rim. Has a ton of potential, look forward to following her throughout the season.
