As the next game approaches she’ll look to be the most dominant guard on the floor. When it comes to putting the ball in the basket, she’s proven defenses have their hands full trying to slow her down. If she gets into rhythm early it forces opponents to adjust everything they do on that end.

Clark’s 27-point outburst powered her team to a commanding win over a determined Horizon squad. Clark plays with a high motor, always in motion on offense and wreaking havoc in Mead’s full-court press. Fearlessly attacking the rim and finishing with flair, Clark also showed her range by knocking down 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. Her first three-pointer in the second quarter gave her team breathing room. Later in the period, Clark added more corner threes, opening up a double digits lead for Mead. It was a stellar shooting display and dominant performance from the junior guard.

On a different team, Clark could would have averaged around 20 points per game in her first two seasons at Mead. But the Mavericks was loaded with talent and cognizant about spreading the ball around. This year, however, she’s the clear leader offensively, where she averages around 20 PPG. She can create for herself and others with the ball in her hand. She’s a complete player who’s also strong on the glass and on the defensive end.

Clark is heady and athletic, so watching her “on the ball” pressure and handling the ball, and scoring under pressure showed she could use her athleticism on both ends of the court. Her entry passes were nice, yet she saw the floor across the board, and her understanding of positioning to outrebound taller players was a plus, as well as her dropping the jumper, “catch and shoot” included
