Speaking of grabbing steals and capitalizing on them, Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC is definitely a name that constantly comes to mind when I think about making offense out of good defense.  She knows what her opponents are going to do, and she can guard a range of players from ones posting up on the block to ones trying to knock down the deep ball.  She’s effective getting to the rim using her speed and moves to create an open lane making floaters in the paint or banking it off the glass.  

Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC continues to show off her ability to make some plays on defense picking the pocket of her opponents and taking it the other direction for some fast break points.  She consistently does this throughout games no matter who the ball handler on the other end of the court is.  Her court awareness is apparent knowing how to move and flash across the paint to find the opening.

A well-versed player that will be a dominating contributor this season. Madison does an excellent job of creating shots for herself and for her teammates. Her playmaking ability is one of her biggest strengths. She loves to slash through the defenders finding her way to the rim. She is spicy and dicey with her one on one moves. Drayton has attracted many mid major college coaches with her finesse play.

Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC is another state champion from the list, and she has been a leader for her Cannon team since her freshman season.  She has a way of making plays all over the court making adjustments to get her teammate the perfect pass or to flash in the lane and score some of her own points.  She can definitely knock down her shot from deep, and she is sure to go to battle with anyone on the block when needed.  She jumps into passing lanes grabbing steals and exploding up the other end of the court to score off of fast breaks.

The class of 2027 has shined led by Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC who does it all for her team.  She’s quick to grab a steal and push the other direction scoring off of turnovers with ease.  She can handle the ball getting to the rim using her change of direction moves to make her way to the basket.  She knows how to draw defenders towards her as she attacks the gaps and makes the dish to her teammates for the bucket.

Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC (CP3-Flames 17U EYBL) is tough on defense being able to anticipate what her opponents will do to make the jump grabbing the steal.  She knows how to get up the court handling the ball herself to score at the rim or make the pass to her teammates.  She fills in the open lanes well finding the opening and looking for the pass in transition.  She does well using her moves to put up her shot in the paint.

Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC dives on the floor going after loose balls making sure she can gains the possession when playing defense.  She does a nice job following shots to get the rebounds, and she battles through contact to score off the offensive glass.  She grabbed a defensive rebound and immediately pushed it up the court using ball fakes to get the opening and finish at the rim.  She was doing a nice job getting in front of her opponent knocking the pass away.

Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC was a big piece of Cannon’s state championship victory last year, and she’s continuing that strong performance this season hoping to make it back to the big game.  She is a tough defender being able to pick the pocket of her opponents, and she uses these steals to get fast break points going the other direction.  She’s aggressive with the ball on offense getting to the rim or pulling up quickly for jumpers as she knows how to read what the defenders are giving her.

Madison Drayton Madison Drayton 5'11" | SF/SG Cannon | 2027 State NC was creating her own fast breaks pushing the tempo and grabbing the steal to take the other direction.  She knows how to jump in front of passes anywhere on the court, and she hustles back on defense blocking shots with ease.  She battles against anyone for the rebound on both ends of the court.
