Armah took a significant step forward this season, particularly with her improved perimeter shooting and overall offensive confidence. The Liberty District Defensive Player of the Year uses her length, instincts, and athleticism to disrupt passing lanes and create transition opportunities. Combined with her evolving scoring ability and versatility as a point-forward type, Armah continues to establish herself as one of the top two-way sophomores in the area.

Probably one of the more unrated athletes in the 2028 class! Mariah can guard multiple positions on the floor. Starting to develop a college frame and has the length that makes her a playmaker with the ball in her hands. Great two way player it’s no doubt that she will be able to walk into this AAU season and make a major impact.

Armah stands out as a highly impactful underclassmen with advanced two-way instincts. She scores efficiently while contributing on the glass and creating turnovers defensively. Her anticipation and activity disrupt opposing offenses and generate extra possessions. With her production and poise, Armah has the foundation to become one of the top players in her class.

Mariah Armah Mariah Armah 5'8" | SG State VA was the best player on the court on both ends. Langley often fronted Washington-Liberty star Center Eve Jungman Eve Jungman 6'3" | C Washington-Liberty | 2026 State VA and used Mariah as a sort of roamer off-ball to intercept passes coming over the top. Her instincts, athleticism, and effort were super disruptive to Washington-Liberty’s offense. Mariah has outstanding hands, and she had an emphatic block on a defensive rotation that really impressed. On offense, she knocked down multiple threes and created for herself in the mid-range, hitting some difficult shots.

Armah has quickly established herself as one of the most impactful underclassmen in the area, leading Langley in scoring while producing across the stat sheet. At 15.4 points per game with 7.2 rebounds and 4.6 steals, she impacts both ends with length, instincts, and activity. She thrives attacking downhill and in transition, but her defensive anticipation and ability to create extra possessions may be just as valuable. For a sophomore, her poise and two-way production stand out, giving Langley a dynamic piece capable of shifting momentum in postseason play.

A good steady guard that plays all over the floor that makes the players around her better. She handles the ball well in the open floor, and can lead the fast break off rebounds. Does a great job of seeing her teammates in the full or halfcourt for scoring opportunities. With her versatility she can score from multiple areas on the floor.

Mariah Armah Mariah Armah 5'8" | SG State VA was someone I didn’t know much about heading into the year, but she very quickly caught my eye. Mariah is a good spot-up shooter and plays hard on both ends. She did a great job defensively and was third in scoring on a great Langley team with 10.2 PPG. 

Do it all guard who plays hard all the time! She is an efficient scorer who takes advantage of her scoring opportunities and can also create for her teammates as well. Handles the ball on the wing and is a capable scorer . She’s always looking to get her hands on the ball at the defensive end.

Langley was a team that was expected to make a run at states, and that is exactly what they’re doing. What was not expected was the level of production they had gotten from their freshmen. I’ve talked about Alice Allen Alice Allen 5'8" | SG/PG St Paul Vi | 2028 State VA a lot but Mariah Armah Mariah Armah 5'8" | SG State VA has been close to her in terms of impact. Mariah was fantastic in the regional semi against Centreville. This was a game of two of the best teams in NOVA, and Mariah stepped in a huge spot. Mariah is a terrific shooter, and that is where she usually does most of her work offensively. She hit 2 vs Centreville and did a great job at the line. She finished with 20 points.
