The 6-footer is one of the most dynamic players in the class and proved it again on Friday night in a 74-45 win over Wauneta-Palisade in the district final. Mlady had 29 points on just 20 shots. She was 10-for-12 from the field (3-for-4 from beyond the arc) and 6-for-8 from the line. For good measure, she added 15 rebounds and six steals to her tally. Mlady has season averages of 20.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.1 steals per game.

After a stellar freshman season, the 6-footer has filled the stat sheet even more during her sophomore season where the Bees are undefeated (one of just three left in Nebraska). Averaging a double-double, Mlady carries averages of 20.6 points and 10.2 rebounds for Bloomfield and she also adds 4.1 steals and 1.6 assists per game. The Bees are ranked No. 1 in Class D-1 heading to the postseason.

With the level of competition, size, and knowledge of the game that Mlady possesses, it’s not crazy to think she will continue to lead the state in some positive stats throughout the next 2.5 years. She just needs to keep grinding and the rest will be history.

Bloomfield High School has started off this Winter with a 12-6 recording, giving their opponents a close contest in every game they have competed in so far. If they take care of business and play to their best prospect’s strengths, they should have a good shot of making a run to remember.
