How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a versatile guard who can play any position on the court. I can shoot beyond the arch, as well as drive to the left and right when covered. I can defend anywhere from guard to post and can recognize changes on the court quickly. My leadership skills and experiences make me a valuable player whether I am on the court or not.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am willing to do whatever is asked and more. I will never settle and am always trying to find ways to improve my game and connections with my team. I will always be on time, if anything I’ll be too early. I am not scared to step up for others and myself when it comes to sportsmanship whether it is with our team or not.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am in jazz, concert, and marching band. I am also in national honors society as well as honor band and distinguished scholars. I received the Patrick S. Gilmore award for band this past year. I am also involved in TeamMates Mentoring and got the opportunity to be apart of the board of members.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I am the drum major in marching band which has taught me many leadership skills that I have used over all of my activities, including basketball. I am very involving and open to new people and never let anyone feel left out. I use teamwork on and off the court so my skills are consistently being built. I volunteer at many youth camps, and band competitions giving at least 180 service hours.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, I recently had my UCL in my thumb repaired. Coming back from surgery was a challenge, and it affected all my activities from music to sports.
