About Ma’hailey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game as aggressive and fast. I am play with 110% effort and I am a very coachable and athletic player that listens to the coach and executes what the coach wants to do. I play great defense, get great rebounds and can use my handles to efficiently get to the basket and be able to finish. I have great speed that helps in transition and can shoot at times.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a great mentality and great energy overall. My teammates can depend on me to uplift the team and bring great energy even when on the bench. I listen to coach when they're talking and make sure to maintain eye contact and try to execute what they want.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received honor roll the first 2 quarters of my freshman year, as well as my 7th grade year. However, I haven't participated in much clubs since 7th grade, other than sports clubs.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have approximately 26 hours in community service, volunteering at youth sports events at the concession stands and helping around the area of Wellington in general. I have developed leadership skills in many scenarios. For example, I was the team captain on my 8th grade team, running plays and taking the team through warmups and motivating them in sprints and games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have gone through many challenges in basketball, especially mental blocks. That get in the way of how I play and my confidence on the court. However, I just pray about it and put God first in everything that I do.

What type of college are you looking for?

I do not really have a specific college. I just want a full ride scholarship to anywhere that has a medical program and where I could play basketball to my full potential.
