has been racking up the offers heading into her senior season, and it’s no surprise because coaches appreciate her gritty and highly competitive playstyle. Maia is a scoring point guard who draws the attention of the defense and has the ability to create open opportunities for her teammates. She has excellent ball handling and has developed into a strong floor general, with her vision continuing to improve. Her ability to get to the rim and finish through contact puts pressure on defenses, and she can also shoot mid-range jumpers and knock down threes.
This season, Maia is averaging 12.5 PPG, 4.4 APG, 9.5 RPG, and 2.3 SPG. Maia will make a significant impact on any program she chooses to sign with, as she is the ultimate competitor.

Maia Berdebes continues her rise up the rankings, despite being somewhat under the radar. One thing that is loud and clear is Berdebes’s game. Berdebes has very good size at the point and can play different styles with her skillset. She has good speed and uses it to get downhill. She also can play physical and take the bump if she needs to. Berdebes has developed into one of the best point guards in the State and that has caused her stock rise. She is a point guard who gets her teammates in the right spots to make plays and she is versatile playmaker as well. She can shoot the three, shoot the midrange, and pass the rock.

Maia Berdebes was the perfect definition of a combo guard. She not only ran the offense effectively but also scored when needed. Maia played under control and at her own pace. I think I might have seen her turn the ball over only once or twice; otherwise, she was very efficient on the floor. She’s the type of player you can always rely on, especially in clutch moments or tight games, as you can trust her to make the right decisions to help win the game.

gets better every time I see her. Her patience with the dribble was impressive—she didn’t allow the defense to speed her up. At the showcase, she was the most decisive with her dribble that I’ve ever seen, showing her maturity as a ball handler. Her ability to only need 3-4 dribbles to get to her spot is elite. On the wing, she forced defenders to turn, getting downhill quickly. Although she might not have the quickest first step, she demonstrated her time in the weight room by using her strength to push defenders out of position.
Maia also plays low and strong, allowing her to stop on two feet if she’s cut off, which enables her to either use a fadeaway or find a cutting teammate. Her low turnover rate makes her a trustworthy guard to run your offense.

refined her game to take advantage of her great passing ability, basketball IQ, and great court vision. With her ability to get downhill and to the rim, she used her ball handling and quick attack to the rim to make plays for her teammate and herself. Berdebes also shot the three and midrange shots when she needed to.

will be in the building and will most likely be on the attack from the time she walks through the door. Berdebes was a standout at several showcases last year, and her forte was attacking the basket. She has a lot of tools in her bag. The “attack” is just one of them. Berdebes has good handles and can navigate through pressure, get past defenders, and put the defense at a disadvantage. She can also shoot the three. Last year, she connected on 39 for the season. Defensively, she averaged 3.5 steals per game. No surprise, as Berdebes is full of energy on the court and constantly on the move
