Maia doesn’t put up big assist numbers, but it’s easy to tell how well she understands the game. Maia dictates the pace of a game well, and that is the most important part of being a good lead guard or floor general.

is always one of the smallest players on the court, but her tenacity and energy make up for it. Maia will pick up players up full court and get into the jersey of the opposing guard she is up against. She is a smart player, and you see her IQ on both ends. Maia makes opposing guards’ lives hard, and you rarely see her get blown by. Maia does this while also initiating a lot of her team’s offense.

Do not be fooled by her size because she is a fearless competitor! High IQ point guard who understands how to control the pace of the game. Even at her size she attacks open lanes for layups or easy assists for her teammates. Defensively she is pest and is a good on ball defender. Maia will consistently applying pressure and disrupting and on both guard position on the perimeter. Having a productive AAU season playing up on the 17U for Team Loaded.

had a great year and was one of the best freshman guards in NOVA. Maia’s high-level shooting and ball handling were on display all year. Maia had some big performances early in the year, like a 20-point, 4-assist game in her debut against Patriot. I’ve talked a lot about Maia recently, and she is a player to watch moving forward. Woodbridge, along with Maia, has a bright future.

has the most range from anyone on this list, which is impressive, considering she’s probably the smallest. She has out of the gym range and is effective as a shooter on or off the ball. Maia had an outstanding freshman season shooting the ball and is a player to watch this AAU season.

. Maia is a fantastic shooter who has out of the gym range. She has good hands and instincts on defense and keeps her head up to make nice passes. Maia has a nice handle and a high IQ. Maia is as good of a shooter as anyone in the area and had a fantastic freshman season. After a good AAU season, I see Maia rising up the rankings and being a more known talent around NOVA.
