About Maisie

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer for the "Police Lights of Christmas" program, and help coach basketball and volleyball for younger girls. I play high school volleyball and softball, as well as basketball. I earned WBCA All-State Academic Honors, and WFPCA All-State Academic Honors.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was blessed to earn spots on the varsity basketball and softball teams, as a freshman last year. I learned quickly, that not everyone is happy about these accomplishments. I have learned to read the room, and adjust to various personalities, while balancing my desire to play my best for the team. I've learned to be stronger mentally, and kind to everyone, despite not being treated the same.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am not sure yet. I believe I would like to stay in the Midwest, but am open to other possibilities. I know I'm not looking for a huge university, but this is all so new, I'm honestly not quite sure.
