Moore’s Carolina All In team has made plenty of waves on the New Balance P32 Circuit in large part because of a star veteran guard from 5A Dorman. She was in Cincinnati during the first live period event of July and made her presence known as a consistent scorer and playmaker with a great deal of toughness. Moore led her Cavaliers to last season’s 5A Division 1 Upper State semifinals. She also led Dorman to a 21-5 record in 2025-26 and an 8-0 mark to win its region. She averaged 13 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 steals in the 26 contests she played last season with Dorman. 

Following a 2025-26 season that saw Moore lead Dorman to a berth in the 5A Division 1 Upper State semifinals, Moore and her Cavaliers are in search of more in 2026-27. She is one of the centerpieces of Carolina All In which spent its most recent live period at the New Balance P32 Session 2 in Cincinnati. Moore’s latest offer would come by way of Converse. She already secured offers from Claflin, Coker, USC-Beaufort and Wingate. Last season’s Cavaliers concluded its season with a 21-5 record. Moore would average 13 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 steals as she played in all of Dorman’s 26 contests. 

Makayla was looking for all the smoke in the game I watched. She plays way bigger than her 5’1″ size as she is fearless and relentless. She made some crazy shots while being double teamed which was amazing to watch. She has great hops and a very nice bag of finishing moves. Defensively she applied strong on ball pressure and played passing lanes well, coming up with a few steals and deflections.

Moore already had offers from Wingate and Coker on her resume and has recently added Claflin and USC-Beaufort to that list. The ball-handling skills combined with Moore’s agility and veteran instincts make her a tough assignment for any defense. Moore also displays plenty of toughness as she is unafraid to fall to the floor to complete a play and can appear from seemingly out of nowhere to haul in a rebound. She already had offers from Coker, Wingate and Claflin as part of her resume and she recently added USC-Beaufort to the list of schools that have extended offers in her direction. Moore is set to spend the next two live periods at the New Balance P32 Premier Showcase in Cincinnati and at the National Championships in Chicago. Moore is one of those “blink and you may miss her” type of names. Not only is she difficult to game plan against because of her talent, but she is also hard to contain because of the speed, quickness and agility she possesses. Moore does not shy away from tough shots, and she can arrive from seemingly out of nowhere to come away with big defensive plays that can turn into additional offensive possessions. Regardless of what a defense can throw at her; she will find attacking lanes to the rim and can either finish strong at the cup or dish the rock to an open teammate. 

Speaking of collegiate offers being extended in the direction of standouts from the Palmetto State’s largest school, Moore would secure one from Claflin. Moore would add the Claflin offer to another in-state get she would secure from Coker prior to the start of last season. “Lil bit” would also land an offer from Wingate nearly a year ago. She was one of five from the class of 2027 that were part of last season’s Dorman team. Moore played in all 26 contests last season the Cavaliers and would average 13 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game.

Last season as a junior, she would play in all 26 contests for the Cavaliers while averaging 13 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 steals per contest. Whie Moore may stand at 5-foot-3, she is difficult to keep in check because of the speed she possesses which can even give defenders with a height advantage problems. As more of a point guard, she is more of an attacker of the rim who fuses together skill with tenacity. Moore was one of five from the class of 2027 on last season’s Cavaliers team. 

Speaking of teams to beat throughout the Palmetto State, that status certainly applied to Dorman. Moore saw playing time for a Cavaliers team in all 26 of its games – the team finished with a 21-5 record. She averaged 13 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 steals per contest. Moore helped a Cavaliers team that went a perfect 14-0 in region along with making a run to the 5A Division 1 Upper State semifinals in 2025-26. The Dorman assembling she was part of this past season included five juniors and one can expect for Moore to be even more of a featured player in 2026-27 considering Dorman is graduating four seniors. 

Quicker than quick point guard that can facilitate and score the ball. She does a great job of creating and being a play maker for her team. Her midrange game is almost flawless with the ability to stop and pop up over defenders. She also has a nice tear drop floater that she mixes in and is able to finish through contact slashing to the rim. Makayla is all over the floor on the defensive end also coming up with winning plays.
