Makayla played with great pace and consistently kept defenses on their heels. Her quickness allowed her to push the tempo in transition, and she showed a quick release on her jumper that made it difficult for defenders to recover. She also displayed impressive court vision with a length-of-the-floor pass that led to an easy transition opportunity and repeatedly caught opponents sleeping by attacking before the defense was set. Defensively, she showcased her athleticism with a chase-down block that highlighted her effort and speed. After a strong weekend in Louisville, it was no surprise to see her earn a Division II offer from LeMoyne-Owen.

Weaver stays in attack mode from start to finish. Despite being undersized, the feisty guard competes with toughness and confidence every possession. Makayla pressures opposing guards defensively and creates turnovers with her energy and aggressiveness on the ball.

She’s a sneaky good scorer who uses speed and quickness to get downhill and finish around the rim. Weaver also proves capable as a jump shooter, knocking down pull-ups off the bounce while stretching the floor from three-point range. Beyond the scoring, she consistently keeps teammates involved with strong court vision and playmaking instincts. Her toughness and offensive versatility allow her to impact games bigger than her size.

Makayla shot the ball efficiently from beyond the arc and consistently stretched the defense. She thrived getting downhill, where she was able to create not only for herself but also distribute to her teammates. When attacking, she showed touch with her runner and was effective in the lane. She handled the ball well, using her shiftiness and change of pace to keep defenders off balance.

With Hailee Swain Hailee Swain 5'10" | PG Holy Innocents' | 2025 State GA out, Makayla picked up the slack scoring the ball. She hit two jumpers and scored off a steal. Weaver shot 5-6 from the line, finishing with 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Weaver can get overshadowed at times, but she’s a swift guard who can play both on and off the ball. Expect her production to uptick over her final two seasons.

Quick guard comes in and provides effort as an on-ball defender. Forces turnovers and starts fastbreaks. Gets to the basket but also sees the floor off the dribble and finds the open man.
