While it may not be reflected by the team’s overall record, Oudekerk (pictured above) was a standout performer for Albert Lea in her sophomore campaign. The 5’10 guard then went on to impress our scouts at multiple points throughout the AAU season. Lengthy, quick, and explosive, Makenna uses her natural athleticism and consistent motor to her advantage at all times. She moves well off the ball, making sharp, intentional cuts, and is a capable scorer at multiple levels. Defensively, the Tigers junior biggest assets are her intensity and ability to force turnovers on the perimeter. After a strong summer with the Minnesota Stars , Oudekerk now enters the rankings at #144.

Oudekerk made her presence felt on the boards on both sides of the ball. She plays with a motor that doesn’t stop, consistently beating opponents to the glass for put-backs and second-chance opportunities for her team. She’s a heady player that quickly recognized when she had a mismatch and would dive to the basket looking to take advantage of the situation. Albert Lea graduated four seniors last season, and have a pretty young group coming back, and with the struggles they faced last year there should be some opportunity for Oudekerk to compete for playing time if she continues to work hard and improve on her skill set.
