Expert Analysis

Laskowski is a special talent and I think NSIC schools should be taking a hard look at her. She would be really good on the perimeter at the 3 position. She is long enough and athletic enough to defend at the D2 level. She will need to become a true two-way player to play in the Northern Sun, something I think she will be able to figure out. Elli is a very talented offensive player. She had one of the highest points-per-game averages in the state at 24.5 points. She is exceptional at getting to the free-throw line. She has a little room to work on her outside shooting, however, she is still an excellent prospect.

Laskowski is one of the top scorers in the state, currently averaging over 27 points per game. She is also averaging 8.9 rebounds, 3.9 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game. She is an excellent prospect and someone I think can potentially play in the NSIC. She is listed as a forward but plays more like a guard in my opinion. She is a 6-footer who can handle the ball, run the floor, rebound, pass in transition, and score with anyone. She is the total package.

Elli was one of the top scorers in Class AA. She was also pretty effective with her shooting percentages. She shot a respectable percentage from behind the arc but will need to improve upon that number to be a high-level recruit. She has a good frame and is a physical player. Minot North should continue to see improved records as their varsity teams mature. Elli will be critical for that improvement.

Elli was the second leading scorer in the WDA averaging just a hair under 20 points per game. She also averaged an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. She is a great sized forward with good footspeed. She can utilize her size to post up but isn’t afraid to let it fly from deep, netting 45 three-point makes on the season. It was Minot North’s first varsity season and Elli did a great job leading an inexperienced group. She is going to be a force in the WDA the next three seasons.

Elli is having an amazing year for the Sentinels’ inaugural varsity season. She is currently averaging 16.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and over 1 block per game. She leads her team in all of those statistical categories and has Minot North competing in a very good WDA conference. She has great size and moves well up and down the court. She is competitive and with the numbers she is producing as a freshman, you can tell she isn’t afraid to battle night in and night out. Elli is easily going to find herself on the All-WDA team this season.
