Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
As a lefty shooting guard I would say my game style is all about quickness. I enjoy playing off the ball, making those sneaky cuts to get open for a three. Defense is key too, so I try to stay active and disrupt my opponent’s rhythm.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I love to stay motivated and push myself to improve, whether it's in practice or during games. I try to keep a cool head and support my teammates, always looking for ways to lift everyone up. Its all about teamwork and having fun.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Being invited to the National Honors Society was such an exciting moment for me! It felt great to be recognized for my hard work and dedication. I love being a part of a group that values academics, leadership, and community service. Iv'e been involved in some awesome projects, and its been great to connect with other motivated students.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I've learned a lot about teamwork and leadership. Being part of a team means I have to communicate well with my teammates, understand our roles, and support each other on and off the court. I've also had opportunities to take on leadership roles, whether it’s being a captain or just encouraging my teammates during tough games. It’s taught me how to stay positive and motivate others.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Dealing with an ACL tear was one of the toughest challenges I've faced. It was so frustrating to get injured and have to sit out during my senior year, especially when I had so many goals for the season. The recovery process was long and tough, there were days when I felt really down about missing out on games and being with my teammates. Coming back from the injury has taught me resilience.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking at junior colleges (JUCO) because they offer a great opportunity to get exposure and playing time. At a JUCO, I can really focus on improving my skills and getting more minutes on the court, which is crucial for my development. The smaller team sizes often mean more opportunities to play, and I think that would really help me grow as a player.
