Highlands has to replace one of the best players to come through the program as Marissa Green is gone to college. Maren Orme Maren Orme 5'5" | PG/SG Highlands | 2028 State KY looks ready to step into that role for the Bluebirds. Orme was the second leading scorer for Highlands last year and is known for her ability to score from all over the court. Maren has, at times, settled for three pointers when she should be attacking the paint. Look for that to change this season as I think she will be more of a downhill driver than last season. Highlands’ offense will need Maren to be good to be effective and I think she has the capability.

Maren averaged 10.6 points per game last season, finishing as the second-leading scorer for her high school team. She’s a multi-level scorer who can get a bucket in a variety of ways. A volume three-point shooter with deep range, and the ability to attack off the dribble and finish at the rim. On the defensive end, Maren is disruptive and active in the passing lanes, often turning steals into easy points.

She was the second-leading scorer for Highlands, averaging 10.8 points per game. Maren is a small guard, but she brings big-time playmaking ability to the floor. She has great speed in the open court, and loves to push the pace. Her quickness allows her to get wherever she wants off the dribble, creating for both herself and her teammates. Maren isn’t afraid to let it fly from deep, has a good middle game, and is an absolute pest on defense.
