Mariah’s improvement from her summer play has been obvious. We saw her pull down rebounds and immediately find the outlet in one smooth motion, helping turn defense into offense without missing a beat.

One of the key traits you look for in a post player is the ability to stay strong with the ball under pressure — and Mariah showed exactly that. Even when the defense collapsed on her, she consistently secured possession and fought through contact. She establishes a solid seal on the block, keeping her defender pinned behind her, and isn’t afraid to initiate physical play to get to the rim. If she can boost her shooting percentage, she has the tools to become a well-rounded and reliable force in the paint.
