Paired with Sophia Morrison Sophia Morrison 5'6" | CG Eastbrook | 2024 State IN (above) on her travel team, Mariah and Sophia form a tremendous backcourt tandem that is difficult to contain. Mariah is a shorter, but strong, incredibly tough-nosed, and feisty lead guard. She is much quicker than fast, and she uses that quickness and her great ball skill to create scoring opportunities for herself or teammates. She can get into the paint and collapse a defense, or she can create space outside and bury jumpers. Also, for as aggressively as she plays sometimes, she doesn’t necessarily force the action, plus she always seems to get excited about playing against top competition.

Mariah is the absolute definition of energy. She is fiery and emotional, but she does so in such a way that it brings her teammates along with her. She is tough-nosed, strong for her size, and she is more so quick than end-to-end fast. She is very shifty and does a nice job with the ball in tight spaces, plus she’s a capable perimeter shooter who can make big shots late in games. While she isn’t tall and might not be elite at most things, she is one of those kids I absolutely wouldn’t bet against in late-game situations.
