As the 2023-2024 season reaches the midpoint, a variety of showcases and tournaments are ongoing. In a couple of weeks, conference seasons will wind down, and teams will begin preparing for their 2024 state tournament run. After expanding the 2024 rankings list to a Top-125 and a watch list of another 125 prospects, we are now at 250 total 2024 prospects listed on Prep Girls Hoops Indiana. Our March update will mark the final time the Class of 2024 will be updated, but in the meantime, I wanted to highlight all of the point guards in the class who we currently have listed, as well as point out some newcomers and those who have raised their stock since the beginning of the season.

WINTER NEWCOMERS:
Jaidyn Fuller

Fuller

Carroll (Fort Wayne) | 2024
IN
, 2024, 5-6 PG, Carroll H.S. (Fort Wayne)
– Jaidyn is new to our list, as she has done a really nice job at the point for a typically strong Carroll program. She was a Varsity contributor a year ago, but this season she has really stepped it up, averaging 5.1 assists per game thus far. She is a nice all-around athlete and a multisport participant. If she can increase her scoring by a point or two per game, it could really help the Chargers down the stretch this season.
Kiera Gant

Silver Creek | 2024
IN
, 2024, 5-1 PG, Silver Creek H.S.
– I first saw Kiera a couple of Summers ago, and she is a really nice guard who brings strength, quickness, speed, and toughness to the floor. She is a very good perimeter shooter, and that’s probably her “calling card” right now. But she has ball skill and should be an effective scoring point guard in the future. She has committed to Vincennes University, where her open floor game should shine for the Trailblazers.

WINTER STOCK-RISERS:
Ava Kingery
Ava
Kingery
5'2" | PG
Portage | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-2 PG, Portage H.S.
– Those of you who have seen Ava would recognize her as Ava Melendez. She is a tough-nosed, feisty, dynamic little guard who can fill it up, and with some range. Her ability to bury deep shots draws defenders closer, and she has the ability to get by them and create at that point. She will also get after it at the defensive end of the floor. Ava has already committed to Indiana University-Northwest.
Ellysa Morris

5'5" | PG
Lawrence North | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-5 PG, Lawrence North H.S.
– Ellysa has gotten better and better throughout the Winter, and her play has really helped the Wildcats at times throughout December. She is very long for her height, she is quick, fast, and somewhat smooth, plus she has great vision in transition and can make plays for herself or teammates. She is a good enough shooter, that if she can make that more consistent, she could be a full-scholarship kid at that point.
Lauren Walsh
Lauren
Walsh
5'7" | PG
Penn | 2024
State
IN
, 2024, 5-7 PG, Penn H.S.
– Lauren is the type of point guard you want to lead your team, because whether she’s scoring it or not, she is equally effective in other ways. She is vocal, energetic, and motivating with her confidence. She never quits on a play, and she gets fired up when things get tough. She has shot the ball extremely well at times this season, but she is better known as a crafty creator who gets teammates involved.
