Beechum grabbed my attention at last season’s Pro Skills Houston tryouts, yet opened my eyes wider at the McDonald’s Texas Invitational in November (see evaluations here). However, she showed that she could be positioning herself into Stock Riser mode, and here’s why. She stands around “the magic number” and is “long and athletic,” but the magic really started when she went AFTA and everything off the rim. She scored off the dribble, around the basket, and the midrange looked good
