Marissa has been a hot commodity all summer! The 6’3 center racked up offers from Purdue Fort Wayne and West Georgia during the Scholastic Live Period. She then received two more offers from Georgia Southern and East Carolina this month after playing at a high level for WV Thunder Riego on the UA Circuit.

Green has garnered some D1 offers already, but playing with WV Thunder’s 17U UAA Riego team should cause more and more offers to roll in as the sidelines will be filled with college coaches in every live period event. She has a long, athletic frame and every time I watch her play, it feels like she’s grown her overall game more. Green’s high school team finished with a 22-9 record and she led them in points, rebounds, and field goal percentage, averaging 15.6 PPG and 9 RPG while shooting 61.3% from the field. Her ability to elevate over defenders to knock down shots has greatly improved over the last year and she has added even more nice moves to help her create space.

Like Mbugua above her, Marissa is an excellent defender and rim protector who just keeps getting better on the offensive end. Green was one of our writer’s picks for breakout player in the entire state this season. She’s got a very bright future.

The top center in her class and one of the top centers in the state. She averaged 17.6PPG along with 9RPG. Her size, length, and skill allows her to dominate on both ends of the floor. Green is a terrific post scorer, rim protector and rebounder that can easily take over a game. She raised her stock over the summer and picked up a ton of offers, I see a big junior season in the works for her. (Holds D1 offers)

The 6’3 2025 star did a superb job today working in the paint today. She is a very strong rebounder down low but she isn’t afraid to put the ball on the floor and has great footwork. She is a big target for her teammates to find and she does a good job getting her hands on the ball and finishing through contact. She is capable of playing heavy minutes and she is always active. She is not a player that you will see take plays off and you always have to account for her and her disruption inside. Marissa already holds a number of D1 offers and more will follow.

Note: The following is pulled from an article written last week on the top ten players in the 2025 class. Green is certainly a walking double-double, but she honestly takes it beyond that as she produced multiple triple-doubles in her sophomore season. She uses her length and athleticism to elevate over opponents to score and to grab rebounds. She is also an excellent shot blocker. Her timing is special, and she was able to get 10+ blocks in a single game on more than one occasion this year. Green can score in a lot of different ways around the basket. To make her scoring ability more impressive, she also finished the season with the 3rd best field goal percentage in the state (63.7%).
