The numbers may not jump out in every game, but MB is a starting guard on a defending state title team for a reason. The defensive intensity, the skill to move without the ball, and the IQ of when to be aggressive and when to be passive. There’s not one thing this kid isn’t willing to do to win, and every program needs that type of player.

MB! Her style is simple but so effective. She’s a trustworthy guard who doesn’t play out of her lane, she takes smart shots, and makes the smart decisions. She’s just as effective off the ball as she is with it. Defensively.. Wilson is an irritant. She’s willing to play man, she knows her position in a zone.. and communicates consistently. Coming off a state title, where she was one of the main contributors, the confidence still seems to be there. Strong upside.

Mary Bridget has flown under the radar for too long.. her talent, aggression and the way she stays so poised on the court is amazing to look at. This past season she was one of the main heads of the Class 3A State Champions (Nazareth), and what she brings to the team cant go unnoticed. A 36 spot jump was more than earned. She plays both sides of the court with the same intensity, has no agenda and just knows how to blend in with any type of players. This is type of player that will excel at the next level. Also, excited to see her with Chicago Hoops Express this upcoming circuit season, she will make an immediate impact to already top tier program.

The other half of the strong backcourt is Mary Bridget.. and she just does everything right. Even if its a mishap, the initial thought was a team first decision. She doesn’t have an agenda on that court. Her job is to facilitate, score when needed, and be as pesky as she can on the opposite side of the ball. Wilson does that and more. Can score at all levels, and can defend most guards who are put in front of her. What she brings to the program is focus and security. Mistakes are rare when she’s controlling the tempo. She seems poised and balanced.. which will be needed for the program this weekend.

The constant increase of Wilson’s skill has been put on show all summer and still in HS ball. She’s a plug and play player who does all the necessary things for the team and the win. She finishes fast break layups, makes free throws, and defends the perimeter with the best of them. Lots of potential.
