Mary has accomplished more on the court than most juniors! She will go into her senior campaign as a state champion. A title that no one can ever take from her! Rushworth will continue to be a leader, and do whatever is asked of her. Charleston Catholic can definitely repeat as state champs with an athlete like Rushworth on their squad! She radiates a positive energy, and you can tell how much of it pours into her teammates! She’s an athlete that will do any and everything on the floor. She will give up her body to take charges, and she will do whatever it takes to win. There is so much to love about Mary and what she brings to any team she plays on!

Despite picking up her second foul in the first half and seeing limited minutes in the 2nd quarter, Rushworth was stellar! Rushworth scored in numerous ways. She knocked down a beautiful 3. She has a beautiful shot fake! She knows how to attack the lane and draw fouls. She also showcased her beautiful footwork in the paint area with the nice step through! Defensively, she was one of the only athletes to take a charge! Mary picked up numerous rebounds. She picked up a few blocks and did a great job overall! Rushworth stuffed the entire stat sheet to lead her team to victory!

One thing I love about Mary’s game is that she is poised. She doesn’t rush anything and she takes what the defense gives her! She’s a high IQ kid that has a great understanding of the game. She can shoot the long ball, she can hit the mid-range, and she can finish around the rim with either hand! She doesn’t get sped up and she can help control the tempo of any game. This one is a versatile athlete that you can plug in numerous positions. Tremendous upside for this one!

Rushworth is the athlete that is just beginning to scratch her surface! She is definitely one with an extremely high ceiling! Mary finishes strong and great around the rim! She was a part of the AA 2nd team all-state team! She is blessed with great size and length! She is long and athletic! This one has huge upside and she averaged 17.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game during her sophomore season! Go ahead and call this one a stock riser because if she puts in the work, she is going to be in a class of her own!
