Expert Analysis
Simmie Colson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Alfred showed me she was a capable scorer even before she entered high school, yet her “on the court” progression has continued to rise each season, see evaluations here, yet what she has become is not only a nightmare to defend but one of the top clutch players in Texas, all classes included. Her “catch and shoot” as well as “stop and pop” are both next-level ready, yet her upside is still high

Alfred mixes it up nicely to keep the defender off balance as she can use the slight HEZ to attack, as well as a deceptive first step, but seeing her inject the step-back into the equation keeps the defender guessing. She drained the pull-up, she also showed the “stop and pop” in transition, but seeing her create her shot, elevate, and drop it with a hand in her face was nice

Alfred’s poise under pressure was one of the first things I noticed about her in middle school, and seeing her understand how to create her shot and get it off back then told me what was coming. She was dropping jumpers with a hand in her face with ease, “catch and shoot” and “stop and pop” included, and one she dropped at the buzzer. She also used a slight HEZ to attack and score

Alfred understands a couple of very important things offensively: how to get hers “in the flow” as well as how to take over offensively. Her “stop and pop” jumper has improved, as has her ability to create her shot and drop it with a hand in her face. She also scored and dished off the dribble

Alfred answers the BAT PHONE as she too is a caped crusader and showing she’s back at 100%. Watching her slice by the defender to score off the dribble was nice as she attacked with either hand yet showing her jumper in the set as well as in transition was effective and had me smiling

Alfred automatically takes her talented squad to another level as she is another legitimate scoring threat. She also falls into that “long and athletic” guard category and her slight HEZ to get by the fender to score off the dribble has gotten better, and so has her dropping the jumper from mid to long range using the stop and pop as well as the “catch ad shoot”

Alfred doesn’t need to call Batman or Robin because she showed me years ago some “super hero” stuff in the making. She’s a long and athletic guard and her slight HEZ, as well as using a deceptive first step is among the best in her class. She has a “scorer’s mentality” coupled with a “you can’t stop me” mindset and the means not only around the basket, off the dribble as well as outside but setting teammates up to get easy looks all applies. She wants the ball in clutch situations and has shown, unlike my mail carrier, she can deliver on time

Alfred is a “long and athletic” guard who is becoming a “nightmare to defend” and I don’t use that phrase lightly like so many others. She can score off the dribble with ease, attacks and finishes with either hand yet her body control is placing her in the “highlight waiting to happen” category. She also creates her shot from the outside and drops the mid to long range with ease, partly because she elevates on her jumper as well as shows a variety of moves to get open. She rebounds and her court vision in transition is nice, it’s also solid in the set plus she plays the passing lane
