Every year, kids show up at the Freshman Showcase whom I didn’t see play before, and usually half a dozen catch my eye. This year, Gjorgiev was one of them because of her creativity off the dribble. She got to the rim at will and was able to beat her initial defender almost whenever she wanted. Playing in the Badger Conference will be a challenge, but she is a player who I will keep an eye to see how she handles herself this season with whatever role she earns.

The Reedsburg guard is a player who grew on me the more I watched her play. Gjorgjiev is a kid who plays with a massive chip on her shoulder, and that fire she brings is easy to see, even in a lower-stakes environment. She lets the game come to her and doesn’t force the issue offensively. However, she reads defenses well and can make things happen attacking the basket. She also has enough skill to beat her defender off the bounce when she’s gaps to take advantage of.

I always look forward to evaluating Gjorgjiev because she brings something different everytime she steps on the floor. The Reedsburg prospect always shows flashes of her upside with plays that highlight her feel for the game. During the showcase, her hustle and IQ stood out on both ends, making an impact for her team. Gjorgjiev is an exciting prospect that makes momentum changing plays.

The Reedsburg guard was the ultimate hustle player at the showcase as always Gjorgiiev attacked the basket with a purpose making tough lay ups look easy. After keeping an eye on her all summer I noticed she improved her handle over the course, she’s now able to blow past her defender and get into the paint and make smart decisions. Her name is one to watch these upcoming years in the Badger Small conference.

Played with a motor during the scrimmages got a chance to watch her during summer league in the Dells and she showed me more or her skillset as she competed against some of the top girls in the class.
