PGH Wisconsin Freshman Showcase Team 4 Evaluations: Part Two

Another PGH Wisconsin Freshman Showcase is in the books. About 90 players made the trip to the Champions Center, and plenty of notable players stood out. We will look at the 5v5 teams and discuss what each player brought to the table when I saw them play. I'll highlight a few players later because of number changes and to make sure I know who I noted. That said, let's look at some of the players from Team Four who impressed last weekend.    The Reedsburg guard is a player who grew on me the more I watched her play. Gjorgjiev is a kid who plays with a massive chip on her shoulder, and that fire she brings is easy to see, even in a lower-stakes environment. She lets the game come to her and doesn't force the issue offensively. However, she reads defenses well and can make things happen attacking the basket. She also has enough skill to beat her defender off the bounce when she's gaps to take advantage of.     Luna showed an edge to her game when I saw her play last Sunday. She is willing to be physical around the basket and wants to get to the rim whenever she can. She has the skill set to finish through traffic and has the footwork to work her way to the rim in a crowd. She has room to grow, but there is plenty to like about what she brings to the court.     The Tomah native is a smaller guard who has an excellent motor. Deboer may not be the most physically imposing player on the floor, but I loved how willing she was to crash the glass and help her team clear their lines on the defensive glass or generate an extra possession on the offensive boards. She also moved the ball with a purpose offensively and can help elevate the players around her.     The Whitefish Bay native is a sizeable post player who is at her best in the paint. Wham is a developing talent who has been well coached and does the little things well, like catching the ball at the highest point and keeping the ball up and away from guards. She has good hands and can catch the ball while being bumped around he rim, and can finish around the rim. I've seen her a handful of times this summer, and she's looked better each time I've seen her play.
