competes with on the hardwood. Jenkins has energy, she never gives up on a play, she is skilled for her mixture of size/strength, and she understands the game from a strategic standpoint pretty well. This is all stuff I could have told you prior to this past high school season but Jenkins did a great job of making her mark this Winter as a Freshman. She still has a long way to go but the promise and dedication are there. This is someone that has been a steady riser within this 2029 Class for years now and that’s why she rounds out this last Player Rankings Update at #25.

When you are a smaller competitor, you have to make do with what you have. You have to be able to play off of two feet. You have to be able to counter going either way. You HAVE to be able to shoot it from deep off the catch at the very least and you HAVE to be someone willing to risk it all as a pest-y defender.

is a prospect out of this Class that has exhibited all of these behaviors so far throughout the first half of her Freshman campaign for Forest City. Jenkins can go. She is all gas, no breaks with calculated awareness. She knows when to pick and choose her spots and that speaks volumes to the mental part of this game that she possesses. We saw Jenkins do work coming into this Winter and I’m happy to see she has built off of that so far.

prior to this high school season as someone to watch so it’s nice to see that Jenkins showed out to kick off her high school career. Jenkins did her thing in Game 1 of the season for Forest City. She scored at a thorough rate when she found space off the bounce or catch, she stayed aggressive while trying to get down hill consistent in both the full and half courts, she instructed those around her to the correct spots if they were lost, and she made plays on both sides of the ball whenever their system’s broke down. Jenkins is a tough one to guard. She keeps it simple and takes when the defense gives her, making her even tougher to stay in-front of. All in all, there is a lot to like about Jenkins so far. She just needs to keep doing her thing.

is going to dominate her matchup’s this Winter at Forest City as her team’s PG/SG. I have a feeling that Jenkins will make a big impact almost right away for her crew as a creator, facilitator, and shot maker. She will also try to standout as a feisty defender for anyone that is trying to bring up the ball with a weak handle in both the full or half courts. Jenkins brings the fire. She plays with emotion but she is never too high or never too low. She is always just right and that attitude is going to take her a long way when you mix it with her skill-set.

is playing like an MVP this Spring with her
Iowa Ice
program out of Forest City. Jenkins has demonstrated for months now that she is the real deal. She is a coordinated hooper out of the 2029 Class, that understands the game at a high rate because of her past experiences and work in the off-seasons. Whenever the Ice have done well these past few months, it’s cause Jenkins is usually leading the pack by example. Offensively she is either creating and assisting, getting buckets herself, or she is making an impactful play off the ball. There are a lot of hoopers out of this 2029 Class that will have a chance to play collegiate ball at the end of the day and Jenkins is definitely going to be in that conversation.

didn’t have any crazy scoring outbursts or anything like that this weekend but she did play some respectable basketball. Jenkins is a name we are becoming more and more familiar with as times moves forward. Jenkins was in Wisconsin competing with her
Iowa Ice
program once again this past weekend and she made some good work of her competition. Jenkins was finding teammates to assist on multiple occasions, she was getting into the teeth of the defense and finishing herself for easy looks and she was defending her position at a high rate. This is someone with a long ways to go to become the best version of herself but she has some notable skill at this stage in the game. She just needs to continue to keep working.

There are a lot of questions surrounding

of Forest City. Questions like, can she compete at a Varsity level and contribute right away? Can she play other elite competition and stand out? Can she be a difference maker at all times? These are the questions we will find out over the next couple of years. From afar, it looks like a resounding yes to all the questions above but we just have to see it happen now. Jenkins has coordination, a calculated demeanor while attacking, and a high mental IQ. It’ll all come down to big moments and if she can make the most of them but so far, so good for a young prospect with a lot of promise.

is going to be someone to know throughout her high school career. Jenkins is a shifty guard, that understands space and time better than most her age. She knows when to stop her speed and slow things down, compared to when she should speed it up and play down hill. Defensively, she has fast acting hands that lead to a lot of chaos against whoever she is matchups against. Forest City will return some pieces following this season so we will just have to see where Jenkins will stack up following another AAU campaign with her
Iowa Ice
program.

self awareness and her ability to keep it simple is what separates her from a lot of others that she competes against. Jenkins takes what the defense gives her, she doesn’t force unneeded movement on or off of the ball, and she has a great touch on the basketball. Defensively, she might be even better than she is offensively. She really does a great job of standing out because of her hard-nosed defense. Which is something all coaches and evaluators love to see. It’ll be interesting to see where a player like Jenkins can take things over her next 4-5 years. She seems to have a high level of motivation, so as long as she works on the correct things to expand her skill-set, she will be a name we hear about more and more as times goes on.
