A 5’10 2028 forward from the Kansas side who did an excellent job while playing up at the 16U level. She is very patient and poised in the post for a young player. She has good footwork inside and she can make a nice floater in the lane. If she catches the ball at the high post, she can wheel and deal on the drive. She is also a good passer if she draws a second defender to her.

The freshman competed in the 16U pool, and never looked out of place. In fact she was one of the better athletes, with a good combination of strength and quickness. Gets downhill with a solid first step and plays under control in those drives. Complete with two foot stops. In the final game of Saturday, she even knocked down multiple triples in the second half. Looks to be a strong all around scorer, with a bright future.

I was one of a few scouts who caught English playing for Missouri Legacy this past summer on the PGH Dynasty Circuit and we all had plenty to say. English has really good size and her build, and IQ to use it both forcefully and subtly, make her her especially difficult to for opponents to sustain battling her for an entire game. She works well off the bounce and has shown fluidness, quickness and strength. Footwork is one of the first things I look at when scouting players and hers is consistently good on both ends of the floor. A versatile talent who played every position for her club team for now her best work is done below the free throw line. In a loss to Field Kinley just more than a week ago she had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Dragons.

McKenzie English is a student of the game with a strong IQ. She plays every position for her Missouri Legacy team but shines below the charity stripe. English showcased a solid fundamental foundation, creating opportunities for her teammates in transition and fiercely contesting shot attempts in the post.

Hard worker on both ends of the court. A forward that does the work early on defense to gain a steal or defensive board. Good footwork in the low post area. Nice mid range jumper from about 15 feet out that kept the defense honest
