Mathurin shook off an tough shooting night to make some of the biggest plays down the stretch for the hard earned win. She got the ball rolling in the fourth quarter with a tough off the dribble triple. Then started looking for spots on defense. Which included a powerful block at the rim that energized her team. A few possessions later, it was the Michigan commit forcing a steal, then staying with it to get an “And 1” putback that brought them within one. Gritty plays like that will be crucial as Mathurin chases a Gold Ball with her BA teammates.
