McKenzie Snook of Chariton High School has just committed to play collegiate ball at the D3 level after her high school career but before that can happen, she is going to continue to do her best and continue to compete at this elite level over these next few months for her fellow teammates. Snook is impressive on the hardwood and has been for a few years now. She works relentlessly on both sides of the ball and that leads to a lot of tips/deflections for her team. Throughout her squads first 10 games, Snook is poking away 5.9 steals per game while also averaging 16.7 PPG and grabbing around 7 RPG. At this rate, she is going to end this season as a top player throughout all classes in the state in SPG and possibly PPG. There is a long way to go before any of that and I’m sure that personal accolades aren’t even a thought on Snook’s mind at this point but it is always important to have individuals goals, no matter what it pertains to in your life. I’m not sure of the exact goal Snook has in her head at this moment but she shouldn’t over-think it. She is doing well and her team is winning, there is not much more you can ask for.

McKenzie Snook has a mixture of length and knowledge of the game of basketball that helps her beat her competition on a regular basis and that’s why she is receiving some collegiate interest at the moment, going into her Senior season at Chariton High School. Snook stands at 5’9 and puts up some big time numbers where she competes. She is looking to continue that tradition this winter when she laces up but it won’t be easy. As being the main factor of her team, Snook is going to have a target on her back. It’s nothing she isn’t prepared for but the others around her will have to adapt if they want to be successful as a program. I have a feeling that Snook is going to commit early on this winter to play at the next level but who knows. As long as her decisions don’t take away from her efforts on the floor this season, it doesn’t matter, she will find the correct fit all in due time.

Mckenzie Snook is an athlete coming into the 2024 rankings at #70 after putting together a really nice high school season this past winter. Snook is a player that thrives with how active she is on both sides of the floor. She gets a ton of tips and deflections on defense, leading into fast break layups for herself or her teammates in trasnition. Offensively, she understands her own game and the players around her. She makes the most of what she can in situations and always has a positive attitude. Snook is primed for a nice winter season for her senior year. Something I am personally looking forward to watching.

Mckenzie Snook made her mark in every category last season for the Chariton Chargers, leading the team to a 14-9 overall record. Averaging 15.1 PPG on 45.7% shooting, 9.7 RPG, and 2.4 APG. Snook ranked #1 in overall points with 348 for sophomores in 3A, #1 in steals with 92 for sophomores in 3A, #1 in rebounds with 224 for sophomores in 3A, and #4 in assists with 55 for sophomores in 3A. Mckenzie will look to take a leap and extend her game this upcoming winter season even moreso by extending her range. The most impressive part of her game is that she posted all these stats last year without attempting a three pointer. Just by being efficient and sticking to her strengths. Once she adds a little more range, she will be a challenge to guard on and off the ball in all situations.
