In a well-seasoned class like this 2024 one, it’s tough to make the cut but Mills deserves it. A player that has length, altheticism, and smarts. She works hard on every possession while having a nice upside. In the contests that I’ve seen Breck compete in, she kinda has to do a little bit of everything. When there is a point where she can really hone in on her true position, she could evolve into something really special before her basketball career comes to a close.
Missy Evezic Missy Evezic 6’4″ | C St. Alberts | 2024 State IA is a player that I mentioned this spring in the state of Nebraska because of her play on the AAU circuit. Well, now she joins us in the 2024 rankings at #55. Evezic is a 6’3 center with a good frame. She works early on possessions to gain position and that usually leads to an easy bucket for herself over smaller opponent. Her height and athleticism help her grab several rebounds per game on both sides of the floor, as well as help her record at least a block or two per contest. This July leading into winter definitely keep an eye on Missy. Someone with her mix of size, skill, and strength cannot be ignored.

Ellie Daubenmier Ellie Daubenmier 5’9″ | CG Linn Mar | 2024 State IA is one of those players that can really change the outcome of a game if she is feeling confident. Daubenmier is a small forward with nice size accompanied with a guard-like skill set. She can catch on the perimeter and put it on the floor going toward the rim, she can catch and shoot when her opponent is helping off too much, and she can score over smaller defenders closer to the basket with ease on a mismatch. Looking forward, I’m interested how this AAU season will lead into her senior year of high school ball. If she can carry the momentum she has coming off of a great AAU season, she is going to have a great senior year at Linn-Mar high school.
Highlights
Carlee Julius has been a consistent and efficient producer all through-out her high school career. I haven’t seen her compete as of late but I expect Julius to come into her senior year looking to make a big statement. A player that possesses the potential to change the outcome of the game with her play in the post, while being able to really work anywhere from 15FT and in. This 2024 class is thriving with centers that could hold their own at most divisions of the college level, Julis is one of those centers. If she sticks to the plan and plays within her role this winter, it’s sure to be a big one for herself, and for her team.
Mckenzie Snook is an athlete coming into the 2024 rankings at #70 after putting together a really nice high school season this past winter. Snook is a player that thrives with how active she is on both sides of the floor. She gets a ton of tips and deflections on defense, leading into fast break layups for herself or her teammates in trasnition. Offensively, she understands her own game and the players around her. She makes the most of what she can in situations and always has a positive attitude. Snook is primed for a nice winter season for her senior year. Something I am personally looking forward to watching.
