About Meg
Expert Analysis
Avi Burmenko | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Meg excels at making backdoor cuts, taking advantage of defenders who lose focus to generate easy points. She’s a strong defender who can protect the rim with blocked shots and creates space effectively in the mid-range for her jumper. She finishes well at the basket and handles the ball with confidence, making it tough for defenders to disrupt her.

Meg continues to make an impact with her high motor and ability to contribute in multiple areas, and she will be competing with MCW Starz during AAU live periods this spring. She moves well without the ball to find open space and create opportunities within the offense. Defensively, she brings energy and effort, contesting shots and making things difficult for opponents. Meg’s speed with the ball also makes her dangerous in transition.

Meg saw her season end in a one-point loss in the NEPSAC Class AA semifinals but put together a strong year overall. Down the stretch she consistently played with high energy, hustling on every possession and contesting drives hard on defense. She fights for loose balls and does the small things that help her team win possessions. Offensively she has a quick first step that allows her to beat defenders on the perimeter and get to the basket. Once in the paint she finishes well and also shows a smooth floater over taller defenders.

Not just a 3 & D player, Allbee is transcending that categorization. Her ability to move without the ball is what truly makes her stand out. Of course, she can knock down the corner 3’s or the wing 3’s, but she likes to keep the defense guessing as she’s sprinting when the offense is going through its progressions. She’s liable to backdoor cut someone whose head isn’t on a swivel. Allbee can be ran in many sets, including being highly effective in any screen actions as well as those dribble handoff looks. The ’27 guard understands why it’s important to get off the ball quickly and her teammates reward her with even cleaner looks. The defense provided is downright stable. She isn’t afraid of contact either and supplies teammates with timely help. Allbee is such a fabulous watch.

The well-rounded wing brings a lot to table. Allbee shows the capability to score some from all 3 levels and stays consistent in her efforts in carving out offensive opportunities. The balance play that Allbee brings looks traditional, but is incredibly potent. There’s a multitude of skills that really separate Meg from other prospects. She offers secondary facilitation skills even though she isn’t the fanciest of dribblers. She has exceptional court perception and uses her peripheral vision to find her teammates in stride. Carving out driving lanes is something that is highlighted in her game. The strong frame she has allows her to embody all the contact she’ll be met with at the rim. Albee also sports a fantastic shot that she can hit at high percentage no matter if that’s creating off the dribble or in catch & shoot scenarios. She’s also able to make assertive blocks at unexpecting times. Even on the taller players, Meg is able to use her athleticism to reach high up for some impactful blocks. Altogether, Allbee makes a terrific prospect with her multifaceted game and she’s without question an underrated talent.

Allbee’s game comes with a whole lot of mettle. She’s a dynamic slasher with distribution ability. Defensively, she’s a hawk on the ball. Her winning mentality and hoop IQ is clear.
