Megan is a powerhouse in the paint, she finishes strong at the rim, and makes good use of the backboard. Another post player with great size and some mobility, Megan is another player who averaged a double-double last season and has a lot of long term potential. She needs to start adding some shooting to her offensive game but that will come. If she becomes a dependable shooter, Simpson will have colleges knocking down her door.

After averaging a double-double as a Sophomore, Megan moves from 45th to 34th and is trending up in a big way this AAU season. Simpson is one of the top rebounders in the 2026 class and is more than capable of scoring around the bucket as well. If she were a stock, now would be a smart time to invest.

was a dominant force in the interior for Nelson County during the HS season. She averaged a double-double on the season with 13 PPG and 10 RPG. The 6’1 center does a terrific job scoring inside, crashing the boards, and protecting the rim on the defensive end. Megan reached 500 career rebounds as a sophomore and had several games with 20+ points and 10+ rebounds.

Simpson is a really solid player. I instantly noted how hard she was playing when I was watching her team play. She really was doing all of the things that require effort, which is typically the things coaches have to beg their players to do, but even without a permanent coach on the sideline, Simpson was putting in the work.
