Zeitz is a name that will, for a long time, be synonymous with Dansville girls basketball. That’s how good the Spring Arbor commit has been since she walked on a high school basketball court. She’s a matchup nightmare and a versatile scorer that can manufacture buckets from anywhere on the floor. Last night her Aggies team topped Saranac and Zeitz led the way with 17 points.

Zeitz is off to an outstanding senior season, leading her team to a 4-0 start. The do-it-all guard is averaging 29.3 PPG, eight steals, and just under six rebounds a game. She scored her 1,000th career point during the third game of the season, leading her team to victory over Lansing Christian. I’m looking forward to continuing to watch her senior season and at the next level next season at Spring Arbor.

Zeitz is one of the most efficient big time scorers that you’ll see this season. She was just that in the team win against Perry. She scorched the nets for an eye=popping 32 point performance.

Zeitz led her team to the Regional Finals and a 21-3 record. She led her Dansville team with 15.3 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 3.9 APG and 4 steals a game. She was 1st team Associated Press All-State last season. She is committed to Spring Arbor University. If Zeitz replicates these numbers next season, her team will make another postseason run.

Zeitz could have complained for years about where we had her ranked. Honestly, she’d still have a case. Really, she could have complained about everyone underestimating her. But nope, she went ahead and did her business and let her game do her talking. That worked out, because her game has spoken loud and clear.

Zeitz is finally getting some press that she has long deserved. She can score in a wide variety of ways and does a good job playing her matchup. Zeitz can score facing the rim from all 3 levels as well as with her back to the basket. She’s a physically strong athlete that can play through contact. Zeitz stays active without the ball and moves with a purpose. This flat out gets her looks at the rim.

Zeitz is a player that deserves more looks at her game and more press clippings. She’s a very talented player with a next level skill set. Zeitz can initiate the offense both with the pass and off the bounce. She moves immediately after the pass, not watching the play unfold but instead making the play happen. Zeitz is just so active without the ball, finding lanes to the rim and making herself available for the pass. She’s a creative finisher with excellent control and balance.
