Expert Analysis
Darvoni Christopher | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Becher continues to emerge as one of southern Indiana’s promising wing prospects. The Heritage Hills small forward possesses the versatility that college coaches increasingly value at the next level.
Her ability to impact multiple areas of the game stands out immediately. Becher can score, rebound, defend, and create opportunities within the flow of the offense. She does not rely on one aspect of her game to be effective. Offensively, she shows the ability to finish around the basket while also stepping out and making perimeter shots. Her length and athleticism allow her to create matchup problems for opposing defenses.
Defensively, Becher’s versatility may be her greatest asset. She can guard multiple positions, contest shots, and contribute on the glass. Players with her combination of size and mobility often attract attention from college programs. As she continues adding strength and consistency, Becher has the potential to make a significant jump over the next year.

Mia created matchup problems all tournament long. With a reported 28-inch vertical, she has the athleticism to impact the game in multiple ways and the versatility to play point guard or battle inside depending on the matchup. She scored at all three levels, finished extremely well around the rim, and used her length to disrupt passing lanes while defending multiple positions.

Coming into the Spring, I had seen Mia a number of times on video, but now that she has played on the grassroots tour, I would expect her recruiting to pick up quite a bit. In Louisville a couple of weeks ago, she showed her tremendous length, fluid athleticism, and ability to play at all three levels. She has one of the nicest mid-range games, but she can stretch it to 3-point land, and she is solid finishing around the basket. I would expect to see her interest really start to take off over the next couple of months among the elite small colleges.

It was great to finally see Mia in this element against grassroots competition after having only seen her with her high school team the last couple of years. She is extremely long and wiry, fluidly athletic, and versatile. She is a wing, but she doesn’t mind going inside to grab rebounds, she can put it on the floor and attack the basket, and she has a really nice mid-range pull-up. As her perimeter jumper continues to be more consistent, watch out, but she did have a few small college coaches intrigued.

Mia is one of those under-the-radar Southwestern Indiana prospects who could have a huge Spring & Summer. She has all of the measurables coaches like…she possesses length, she’s a nice North/South athlete, and she has shooting touch. She hasn’t played much outside of her high school environment, but she definitely has the tools to succeed. She can play a bit of a point forward role, too, but I feel like she’s better using screens to get herself open. She also plays hard, she’ll use her length defensively, and she has a nice motor and a quiet toughness to her game.

Mia is someone much of the state isn’t terribly familiar with, but she is an intriguing wing who could have a nice college future ahead of her. She has really nice length, broad shoulders, and she’s a solid North/South athlete who likes to get downhill. She does have nice touch from the perimeter, and she likes to hide in the deep wings and corners. When I’ve seen her, she likes to defend inside the arc a little more than around the perimeter still, but she is a quietly tough kid and a more than willing rebounder.
