We should expect to see Mikaela Tran to see some Varsity minutes this Winter at City High – High School in some aspect or another. Tran, is a fast acting PG. She gets down the floor in a hurry and when she rebounds, she can take it all the way if someone doesn’t attempt to slow her down. When she is on defense, she is scrappy and she does a great job of beating her opponent to their spots early on in the possession. City is another program that will have ample opportunity this Winter and Tran will take full advantage of that.

#33 For Mokan JR EYBL, 5’6 two-guard, has smooth mechanics to her game like she’s been playing ball since she was a toddler. Offensively, when she shoots, creates space, or scores, it looks extremely easy for her.

Mikaela Tran Mikaela Tran 5'5" | PG/SG IC - City High | 2030 IA is going to be a crucial piece to Iowa City – City High when she gets there next season. Tran is an elite shooter of the basketball with an above average handle and a smart head on her shoulders. She is very good at making the most of her opportunities but she is also the type to create those opportunities for herself at a higher rate than most her age. With her handle and her ability to make something out of nothing, she is always someone that opposing teams have to watch out for and that will obvious at this Courtside event last week in Cedar Rapids as she hit a lot of open shots while getting the others around her in the action with her passing ability.

Mikaela Tran Mikaela Tran 5'5" | PG/SG IC - City High | 2030 IA is going to bring a lot of energy and skill to the floor when she gets into high school over the next few years. Tran is a 5’5 PG/SG that checks off a lot of boxes as an all-around player already. Offensively, she can handle, create for others, shoot the ball at an extremely high rate from deep, while also being a disruptor on the defensive side of things. She understands when to pick and choose her spots, always playing the game the right way as she competes. Which is impressive for someone at this grade level. If she continues to work on her skill-sets as she gets older, she should be a varsity contributor right away for the Little Hawks over the next few years.
