If a player got by the front line of defense, she was quickly in help side to stop the player or get a block. Her defense isn’t limited to the paint area. At her size, she is even capable of closing out on a guard in transition or at the three point line.

Versatile Forward. The sophomore didn’t start the first game that I attended. She was in the starting line up for this game adding more length to a long Hutchison lineup. Her versatility was on display in this game. She attacked from the perimeter. She posted on the block. She took a high post shot. Her athleticism and length creates problems as a defender. She is quick off the floor and rebounds out of area. I had her down with 12 points, 6 rebounds and a block.

High Energy Forward. Mikaila transferred from Rossville Academy. She came off the bench for the game I attended. She is long and uses her length as she defended on the perimeter a lot in the game. She was able to get a nice rebound crashing the glass from the top of the key. She also did something that I had never seen from her. She flashed from the perimeter to the high post area for a pull up shot.
