Williams the LSU pledge completed her high school career by winning the 2023 LHSAA Division I State Championship with her Parkway Lady Panthers.  A two time state Gatorade Player of the year, McDonalds All-American and recently named Morgan Wooten National Player of the year! In her final game Williams put on a absolute show finishing with a Double-Double 34 points and 11 rebounds leaving no doubt that she will go down as one of the best Louisiana High School girls basketball players ever!

The recently named Mcdonalds All-American did not disappoint, returning back to the top 28 after loosing in the tittle game last year you could tell Williams came to Hammond to do nothing more then handle business. In the semi’s against Barbe Williams finished with a double-double 23 points and 17 boards. But what was more impressive is what she did on Saturday in the tittle game! Mikaylah was simply unguardable against the team that defeated her Parkway squad last year (Ponchatoula) scoring at all three levels and just nailing pull up jumpers from everywhere it was a site to see. In the two games Williams averaged a double-double in the tittle game she lead all scores with 34 points while grabbing 11 boards shooting 11-18 from the field and 9-11 from the charity stripe! Simply put she put a stamp on a great high school career and left no doubt that she will go down as a Louisiana Great!

No brainer here with the states number 1 player in the 2023 class and the states only nationally ranked player in Williams who’s also an LSU Commit, reigning Louisiana girls basketball Gatorade player of the year and not to mention a multi time Gold medalist for Team USA Basketball.  So what else is there for her to do one might ask?  Go win a state championship that’s about the only thing as a basketball player she hasn’t done.  Coming off of a 1st team all-state performance as a junior Mikaylah is back and should lead her loaded Parkway Lady Panthers squad back to a state title game this year!  Will she get that state tittle?
