About Milan
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I play with confidence, pace, and a high basketball IQ. I’m a dynamic guard who can score at all three levels, but I take a lot of pride in my court vision and making plays for my teammates. I love finding the right pass and creating opportunities for others.
I thrive in transition, push the tempo, and attack the rim hard, finishing through contact. On defense, I stay active and disruptive.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I pride myself on being a great teammate first. I bring a positive attitude every day, stay coachable, and always look for ways to improve my game. I respect my coaches, teammates, and opponents, and I try to play with good sportsmanship no matter the situation.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I stay involved both in school and in my community. I’ve received academic awards through school, and I take pride in keeping my grades strong while balancing athletics.
Outside of school, giving back is important to me. My parents are very involved in our community, and I’ve grown up being a part of that. I help put together Easter baskets for kids in need and help at the shelter.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership & teamwork skills through basketball and my experiences off the court. I try to lead by example with my effort, attitude, and how I treat others. Being a good teammate is really important to me. I communicate, stay positive, and always support the people around me. I’ve also learned how to stay coachable and take feedback in a positive way so I can keep improving
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was stepping into a varsity role as an eighth grader. It was a big adjustment competing against older, more experienced players, and I knew I had to elevate my game physically and mentally.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m working toward playing at the Division I level and competing against some of the best players in the country. I want to be in an environment that pushes me every day and helps me continue to grow my game.
