For a few years now Ladwig was committed to compete at Buffalo following high school but as of recent, she uncommitted and recommitted to Arizona to be a Wildcat this upcoming Fall. This is a big step up for Ladwig and the competition level that she will be facing within that conference out West. She is someone that can light the nets on fire offensively, while being a sound defender against her own position as well. All in all, I’m sure Ladwig is going to love her nee team and situation.

Last week Ladwig had the highest scoring outburst of her career with a 50 point outing in a victory against Omaha Central High School. As you could assume, this was one of those games that Ladwig made her own. As a player, when you have one of these contests, you usually don’t remember too much. It’s more of a blur because you are unconscious in a sense and that’s what we had happen here. I’m sure we are going to hear about Ladwig at the college level for years to come. She is someone that can really perform under pressure so it’ll be interesting to see how she fairs against other D1 competition later on.

The University of Buffalo is getting a competitor with the commitment of Molly Ladwig Molly Ladwig 5'9" | CG Skutt Catholic | 2025 State NE of Skutt Catholic High School. Ladwig is the type that is always looking to make a play going to the rim either with a nice finish or with contact and getting to the line for some free throws. Off of this dribble creation, she can also do a thorough job of passing out to open teammates when things get to clogged on the drive. I do think that Ladwig find the college floor sooner in her career than later, once she gets there. She is a quick learner and able to adapt in the blink of an eye so I’m sure it won’t take long.

Molly Ladwig was the top Overall player in the Dan Wiley Division in my opinion. She can do it all. She is a highly skilled shooter that can hit consistently from 3, and create scoring opportunities off the drive. She has several finishes she can go to in the paint, and she is a very good ball handler and passer.

You get a walking bucket, that understands what it means to be a competitor and winner. I expect nothing less out of Ladwig and company this weekend. Skutt has a tough exhibition against Millard North on Saturday and I’m sure the stars of both programs will come out to shine. This is two groups that have some hoopers so if we are lucky, we are going to be in for a show before you know it.

Ladwig is a high energy CG, that can play the PG or SG position, while always yielding positive results. She has a natural scoring ability that is second-to-none throughout the state of Nebraska and that has always been on full display, ever since she was a Freshman at the Varsity level. Since then, her progression and expansion of her play-style has been noteworthy and noticed all across the country. This helped her receive several collegiate offers before her commitment but in the end, she decided with Buffalo. As for this upcoming Winter season, I expect more of the same out of Ladwig. Her group returns a lot of production from years past and she will be their lead in charge. So however far she can take them, that’s how far they will go in the end. Which, that’s just the reality of the situation. They have some other awesome prospects but Ladwig competes at an entirely different level than most her age.

Ladwig is a crafty guard, with an efferent playmaking ability, a smooth shooting stroke, and she is always one of those players to get on the floor for loose balls or for the betterment of her squad. Skutt Catholic is going to be interesting this year. If they bring it, they will shine. As a group and their players individually at all age-levels.

Ladwig is a versatile scoring threat, a next-level defender, a smart individual in general, and someone that has a better than average motor. She is really smooth in everything she does and no matter what floor she competes on, she is always putting up impressive numbers. I hope Ladwig can take her supreme ability to the next level and show the Buffalo fans what’s up. She comes off as a great athlete and an even better person, so it’ll be fun to see how her journey continues to unfold moving forward.

It’s getting to the point where Molly Ladwig Molly Ladwig 5'9" | CG Skutt Catholic | 2025 State NE is going to have to start narrowing down where she is going to compete following this next high school season. Ladwig currently has offers from Illinois State, Evansville (IL), Omaha, Valpo, Buffalo, and a few more. Including Cal Baptist, North Dakota State, and Lehigh University, all programs that just offered her, following the weekend. Her AAU career might of came to an end but Ladwig is far from hanging up the basketball shoes for good. She is going to be an active producer at the D1 level for years to come and that’s pretty neat.

Nebraska Attack is a well known and well ran program, that understands how to develop their prospects. This season, their top GUAA team’s have done a great job of killing most of their competition and they are ready to make a run at Nationals to end this month. This past few days she has been offered by Illinois State to compete for the Redbirds after this next season but I’m not sure that is the route she will take. She has more than a few offers at this point from other programs so it all depends on her fit within each system. No matter what though, if she continues to play to her fullest ability, then anywhere she goes, she should see the floor sooner rather than later.
