About Morgan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an intense player who works hard to force turnovers--I play scrappy defense. I look to dish/pass and involve my teammates on offense. I can drive and shoot from the outside. I have a strong court sense and basketball IQ. I'm always striving to improve and play at a high level.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm hardworking, committed and eager to improve upon my skills, while working together on team goals. I have an easy-going, upbeat personality, and I seek to include and encourage my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm involved in Wind Ensemble, Pep Band, Student Council and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). My non-sport awards include Honor Roll and Minnesota Honor Society (MHS).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Throughout my athletic activities, volunteer work and other experiences, I've developed many skills. Here are a few: inclusion, acceptance, respect, teamwork, problem-solving skills, communication, support for one another, trust, and honesty.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've been fortunate and have not needed to face any significant challenges. One of the challenges I have had to face is a lack of participation of my same grade peers in sports. Because of the lack of participation, I was unable to play in elementary girls' basketball tournaments. In 6th grade, I played in travel tournaments with the boys in my grade, and I was the point guard.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that feels like the right fit--one where I feel welcome and comfortable. I'm looking to be a part of a college basketball team where I feel wanted and where I feel I will be able to contribute to the team. Additionally, I'm looking for a college that has the educational pre-programming that fits my future goal of becoming a Physician Assistant in Dermatology.
