Diller-Odell is going to have a good chance to make the D1 State Tournament these next few weeks if

plays to her full capabilities. Weer is the highest ranking prospect out of her District and she is going to be able to carry her group for a few more games. It’ll become much more interesting after the District winners are confirmed as than we can see who they will have to compete against to go to State but either way, I expect this group to be in that conversation. Soley because of the skill-set and ability of Weers. She is going to be a killer on the D2 floor following this year but for now, she is locked in at the task at hand.

I have always said that the aggressive edge that

competes with is going to help her fair very well at the next level with the UNK Lopers. Weers is a get to the action – type of guard. She wants all the smoke all the time and she isn’t afraid to let others hear about it. She has a coordinated attacking style offensively, while also being a very good defender in both the full and half courts. At DIller-Odell this Winter, Weers will cap off her high school career with some impressive stat lines and hopefully a lot of wins. If others come prepared to back her up, their group could b really tough to be as we get closer to the Playoffs.

of Diller-Odell High School is my favorite, hard nosed PG that the state of Nebraska has to offer. Weers came to our PGH Showcase a year ago and did her thing. She showed that she was the best prospect in the gym or at least one of them, while being a tenacious defender in both the half and full courts. It does not surprise me one bit that Weers was a leader in SPG as a Junior. She competes with that chip on her shoulder mentality and that is very easy to spot early on, if you are in attendance and watching her compete live. At UNK, Weers is going to be a staple. If she can find her place within their system, the rest should be history.

is the definition of a ferocious PG, that plays with a chip on her shoulder. Weers comes in at 5’9, she isn’t afraid of physicality, she has a smooth handle, she can handle any form of pressure, and she is very tough to stop in 1v1 matchups in both the half and full-courts. When Weers came to our PGH Nebraska Top 250 Showcase last Fall, she was a standout at her position. There wasn’t anyone else I would have taken in the gym that day to be my PG if I was doing a draft and since then, she has committed to compete at D2 – UNK following her Senior season at Diller-Odell High School. This is an important commitment for UNK, as Weers is a star. She will be able to lead that program, almost right away if she is given a chance. I’m not sure if that will be the case for her Freshman season but we are still a year+ away from that so as of right now, I’m sure she is just focused on the upcoming season ahead.

of Diller-Odell High School and she is also a UNK commit. Weers is a beast. A stone cold killer. Someone that can get hot in a hurry, while being lethal off of the dribble. From everything I’ve seen, she is a calculated/aggressive prospect and that is going to help her kill it sooner rather than later at the next level, early on in her career when she gets to that point. Compared to everyone else around the state, she is a Top 10 player, no matter age-level and that is respectable to say the least.

“Weers is the type of prospect that is going to thrive, no matter the competition level or team she is competing with. When she laces up her kicks, it’s go time. She demonstrated today that she does everything well and at a consistent rate yet again with her CCS AAU program. She is a top rated prospect out of her 2025 Class in Nebraska for a reason and she continues to play like it going into her Senior year.”

is one of the best, hard-nosed Point Guards that the state of Nebraska has to offer from any Class or age level. She is a beast. That’s the best way to put it. This is someone that can score in every way imaginable. She is very good at killing her competing while attacking off the dribble but if they happen to cut her off, she has experienced counter moves to get around them for an easy lay at the rim. She has also demonstrated that she can knock down shots from behind the three point line at a consistent rate, making herself a nightmare for someone who is defending her, trying to stay in front of her for a whole contest. Weers is committed to compete at Nebraska Kearney following her high school career. She should see the floor right away given her skill set but we will have to see how that plays out in due time.

Coming into this Update we have had some movement within our Top 5. Coming in at #5 and one of the most impressive PG’s I’ve had the chance to see this past season is

of Diller-O’dell High School. Weers is a fast moving Guard, that has an act for being able to score and facilitate the rock. At the beginning of the season, I had a chance to see Weers compete and she did more than impress. She was one of the best players in the gym on the entire day, never letting up in any form or facet. She has a uniform handle, quick trigger from deep, an act for making something happen when her teams offense breaks down. During this high school season, Weers demonstrated all of this stuff to a T. She held her own, dominated her matchups, and her team won a good amount of games. When it comes to prospects with promising futures on the court, this is definitely one of them. Her skill stands out almost immediately while watching and I hope she continues with that momentum moving forward.

- 1/10/24 vs Palmyra – 24 Points
Myleigh Weers and her Diller-Odell team may have fallen this past week to Palmyra High School by a final score of 49-48 but that doesn’t change the fact that Weers was a standout star in this contest. In a game where the Griffins only scored 48 points, 24 of those points were from their starting Point Guard and I’m not surprised. I had the chance to watch Weers in-person this past offseason and she is a heck of a competitor. I would describe her game as aggressive but calculated. She makes some great choices with the basketball and is elite in the fields of creating/scoring at the rim. All things considered, this is not going to be the best stat line that Weer’s will have the rest of this season. She may attend a smaller school but don’t let that fool you, she would start anywhere throughout the state if she were to transfer. When speaking about some of the best performances we saw last week, this was definitely one of them.

When I first had the chance to watch

compete at the beginning of this season, I was blown away by her skill and ability on the hardwood. Weers, a 5’9 PG, is seasoned in her game in several different aspects. She can handle with the best of them in the open court, she can score at will against most opponents but doesn’t like to settle, she can create and distribute to others, and she can defend full-court for an entire contest. In this update, Weers fall into our Top 10 out of the 2025 Class. I would be hard pressed to find a more serious competitor throughout this Class. Her mixture of skill and demeanor is going to take her to the collegiate level when her high school career comes to an end. Where to? I’m not exactly sure yet but she already holds a handful of offers and that list is only going to grow until she commits.
