Nadia wasted no time making her presence felt on the court. Her aggression defensively was one of the first things that stood out, and she consistently made opposing ball handlers uncomfortable throughout the game. Her hands were quick, she moved her feet well, and she was very difficult to beat off the bounce. Nadia turned multiple defensive plays into steals that led directly to transition layups. Offensively, she used her speed, quickness, and strength to get into tight spaces and create opportunities for both herself and her teammates. She also showed the ability to knock down the three. Don’t sleep on Nadia — her game is deserving of much more attention.

The sophomore finished with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals. She was a critical part of Principia’s devastating press, and she was forcing the majority of the turnovers.
Bateman is not just getting steals or deflections, she is forcing the opposing ball-handlers to make poor choices or to become overwhelmed.

A 5’4″ point guard whose speed and quickness is a perfect fit for the Panthers fast-paced style of play. She really gets after it defensively on the full court press. She is also a good ball handler who can distribute the ball. She scored on a nice floater in the lane in traffic.
