About Nalyah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a high-speed player on both ends of the floor. I thrive in transition and have a knack for reading the game's layout to jump passing lanes. I’m always looking to disrupt the play, get the steal, and push a fast break before the defense can set up. I believe in being a student of the game. I study my opponents’ strengths and weaknesses so I can walk onto the floor with a clear view.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a highly disciplined individual with a drive for results; once I commit to a goal, I’m relentless about seeing it through to completion. However, I balance that intensity with a vibrant personality. I pride myself on being approachable and enjoy bringing that same high energy into my time with friends and family.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am very selective about my commitments. At this stage, I’ve chosen to prioritize Basketball and personal growth over formal clubs to ensure I can give 100% to my current path.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Having played organized basketball since middle school, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the chemistry of a winning team. I understand that success on the court requires every player to be fully invested in a shared vision. My experience has taught me that true leadership isn't about standing above others, but about growing alongside my teammates to achieve a common goal.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve learned to navigate the distractions that come with being young by keeping my eyes on the bigger picture. I’ve realized that what feels like a sacrifice today is actually a strategic advantage for my future. I choose to prioritize my long-term vision over short-term social trends.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for the right fit—a place where the academic standards are high and the basketball culture is competitive. I want to be in an environment that pushes me to grow, where I can use my focus and leadership to help the team win while staying on track for my degree.
