Nim Maynard will continue her athletic career at Transylvania University. Maynard capped off an outstanding senior season finishing among the state’s top scorers, while also becoming the Lady Rams’ all-time leading scorer. She becomes the third in-state commitment for head coach Hannah Kline.

She became the Lady Rams’ all-time leading scorer with a 42-point outing against Greenup County and concludes her career with over 2,800 points and 1,000 rebounds. Maynard’s legacy will be remembered at Raceland High School and throughout the 16th Region for years to come.

Nim Maynard has added another college offer from the University of Charleston. The Raceland star is in the midst of a stellar senior campaign, averaging 26.7 points per game with multiple 30-plus point performances this season. Maynard has over 2000 points in her career and is one of the most prolific scorers in the state.

Even while being the focal point of every defense, she still hit 63 threes and averaged 18.4 points per game. Already a 2,000 point scorer, she’s primed for a massive senior season!

I liked the way Nim pushed the pace and showed confidence bringing the ball up in transition, always keeping her head up and looking for teammates running the floor. She relentlessly attacked the rim, drawing contact and making several trips to the free-throw line. Nim also fought hard on the boards, providing valuable second-chance opportunities for her team. One play that really stood out was a tough euro-step finish between two defenders.

Nim Maynard joined Raceland’s 2,000-point club, in impressive fashion with a 33 point performance against Pendleton County last week. Averaging 19 points a game the sharpshooting junior has carried the scoring load for the Lady Rams this season. If they continue to get contributions from other players alongside Maynard’s scoring, they could be a tough out in the postseason.

Naomi Maynard Naomi Maynard 5'8" | SG Raceland | 2026 State KY left it all on the floor last night against West Carter. The star junior led all scorers with 32 points, pulled down 3 rebounds, and had 4 steals to go along with a lot of offense. Raceland got the win on the road 57-51.

Maynard played at a high level for Arctic Rush 2026 this summer. She is well-known for her long range shooting ability, but she can also score off the dribble, stop and pop from the mid-range, and create turnovers on defense. Maynard led Raceland in scoring (15.1 PPG) and was third in rebounds (5.4). She should be in the running for the 16th region player of the year this season and will more than likely make the all-region team as well.
