Expert Analysis
Brady Peterson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
The Wisconsin Dells native is a skilled forward who may be the best passer in the 2026 class. Backhaus recently reopened her recruitment and will head into the May Live Period as someone who coaches should watch. She hasn’t probably gotten seen much because she had committed, but if scholarship programs are looking for a kid who can play with her back to the basket, score at multiple levels, and pass at an elite level, Backhaus is worth your time.

I don’t think I’ve seen someone be as aggressive of a passer as Backhaus. The Wisconsin Dells native can whip passes from anywhere on the floor, including full-court inbound passes. Bakhaus can also score from all three levels. She’s among the most underrated kids I have in the top 20 of this class, but she can help numerous scholarship programs in the region.

Few players are as fun to watch as the 6’0 forward from the Dells.

can play as the fulcrum of an offense and pass through small windows all over the floor from the high post. She’s a physical kid who tends to do most of the scoring around the basket with a leaning turnaround jumper. She’s also a stoic kid when she’s playing, so she makes everything look easy and doesn’t ever seem to get too excited or down on any given play. Backhaus is a kid people will love watching the more they see her play.
