Super tough guard who plays the game at another level. Throughout her HS career, she has delivered time and time again. Yet the state crown has eluded her; this year, she will look to write a new chapter in her impressive high school career. This kid is a heady ball player who can score in a multitude of ways and defend. The Samford signee will be front and center as Coffee Co. looks to make a state run.

from Coffee County is definitely someone to keep an eye on in the class of 4A.
Barnes and her high school team, Coffee County, made it to the state tournament last season. They finished their run with a record of 30-1, with their only loss coming to the state champs, Bradley Central. Barnes was a critical part of their success.
Barnes, offensively, was one of the Lady Red Raiders’ best weapons. She has a beautiful three-point shot that she makes with good consistency, and she is lethal in transition. She is one of the better players in 4A at playing passing lanes. Because of this, she gets many deflections that lead to a surplus of transition scoring opportunities. This skillset was seen last year against Franklin High School, where Barnes had four fast break layups.

Barnes has turned herself into a D1 guard this summer (she now has multiple D1 offers). The Coffee County star has a great sophomore season, and an even better summer. Barnes doesn’t force the issue, and simply lets the game come to her. She quietly goes about her business, in the flow of the game, and ends up with 17 points. Tight handles and growing game as a playmaker. Rebounds well from her position. Big time on the ball defender.

You simply can’t leave her open. Is a deadly outside weapon for Coffee who will be back for her junior season. I’ve watched her play several times this spring for Top Gun ’25, and she’s looked REALLY GOOD, and shooting the lights out.

Does anyone on the court go harder than Natalie? My answer: I’ve watched thousands of athletes and Barnes may be at the very top of the go-getters list! Every single practice, game, or tournament; you know that Natalie is brining the energy, the effort, and every thing that she can control! This athlete is motivated and extremely determined! She improves every time she steps on the court, and she is one of the most promising young athletes with a tremendous upside! Remember this, “The basketball finds energy! If you cut with speed, it’ll find you. If you rebound with passion, it’ll find you.” It doesn’t just happen by chance that the basketball finds Natalie. Natalie brings all of the energy so the basketball has no choice but to find her!

vs Team Duvall
Really impressed by her defensively. She talks. She knows how to get in gaps to help. Attacked off the dribble to get to her float game vs Team Duvall Elite. Then hit a 3. Has 7 quick points. And hit another 3. She’s obviously one of the best scoring ‘26s in the state.
