, who will be competing at South Dakota following this Winter. Well Ramsey did what she was suppose to do Saturday evening, putting up big numbers as a mismatch nightmare against CR – Jefferson High School. Being 6’1 and super athletic is too much for most to handle. When you pair that along with someone who has a high motor and a ton of energy, most can’t stick with them and that was the case here. Ramsey was too much to handle on the glass with her athletic ability. Her first step explosion towards the hoop was too much to handle for the opposing big and that’s why she nearly posted a 20-20 double-double when the game ended with a few assists.

of Iowa City – Liberty High School. Ramsey is nightmare to guard for any team that attempts to do so. She stands at over 6’0, she is very athletic for her position, she has length to pair with her height, and she understands how to use her length to her advantage in any/every situation. Offensively, if someone smaller is tasked with defending her, she will simply post them up and score over the top with either hand on either side of the bucket. If someone bigger is told to defend her, she can hit them with her patented midrange jumper or she can take them off the dribble all the way to the bucket. She is also not afraid to let it go from three when those opportunities present themselves. Defensively, the best part is that Ramsey can move around to stick in front of multiple positions. She can size up against bigger or stick with smaller, that might be a bit faster. All in all, if Ramsey is determined enough, she should see the floor as a Freshman at South Dakota but for now I’m sure she is only worried about finishing off the season on a high note as we move into the month of February.

The state’s eighth-ranked senior, according to Prep Girls Hoops Iowa, did what she does when facing rival Iowa City High early in the 2025-26 season. Ramsey scored 25 of her team’s 58 points in a win against Class 5A’s third-ranked team. The South Dakota commitment also grabbed 10 rebounds and helped draw plenty of fouls against an aggressive Little Hawk defense. With her height, long arms and physicality, Ramsey proved to be a tough matchup in the post during this game. She shows a great feel for achieving a position advantage on the block. When she receives the feed, Ramsey moves quickly to avoid the double team and gets rid of the ball if it gets there. She has a nice shooting touch around the rim and on baseline turnaround jumpers. Ramsey showed off her range by knocking down a long trey as time expired in the second quarter.

was going to be Liberty’s main producer on both ends of the floor this season. Well she proved that right from the tip off tonight in her team’s first contest of the Winter. Ramsey started things off quickly. She scored the team’s first 7 of 9 points while grabbing several rebounds in the process. She started off by hitting a few mid-range jumpers from the midrange at the free throw line and then she added to that with a three off the catch on the Wing. From there, it never slowed up for Ramsey. She played a majority of the game and was their hooper doing it all in reality. She kept making play after big play and that was crucial to secure the victory in the end.

is going to produce this upcoming Winter for her last go-around at the high school level. Ramsey has been the problem for opposing team’s to deal with over the past three years. She has been someone controlling the middle of the lane on both sides of the floor as a consistent scorer, she has been defending the lane at a high rate, and she has been leading by example in everything else in-between. Ramsey is athletic and tall enough to make a difference at the collegiate level when she gets there but I’m sure that’s far from her mind at this point. It’s all about making the most of her opportunity right now over the next six months and I’m sure she will do just that.

of IC – Library High School. Ramsey, a South Dakota Coyotes commit, should be able to get to college and do a few things. Her nature mixture of size, skill, coordination, aggressiveness, and discipline is eye-opening and it should help her thrive on whatever court she is competing on. Right now, she can play out of the midpost and score with a jumper, she can control the paint with her height, or she can drive off the dribble. She is even pretty accurate from the outside as well. Defensively, Ramsey could make an impact right away with the Coyotes. Everything she brings to the table, helps her win her personal defensive matchups at a higher rate than most others. All in all, a lot to love about of Ramsey and that’s why she moves up to #8 in this Update.

has been prevalent this high school season. We mention that Ramsey carries a lot of the weight for her team and that couldn’t have been more true in their most recent contest. Ramsey helped the Lightning secure a State bid with a 40 point (14-24), 16 rebound performance. This performance is going to be one of those games that she remembers for a long time. Their next challenge is going to be a lot tougher when they suit up against Johnston on Monday morning. I’m sure that Ramsey will do work per usual, as she did average 23 PPG – 11 RPG this season and she produced those numbers in every way imaginable. She posted up smaller defenders, she hit contested midrange pull-ups with ease, and she stepped out to know down some 3 pointers as well. She would even catch and attack from 15FT in. If this group wants to come out victorious, it’s going to take multiple producers from all over the floor. We will just have to see how everyone ends up coming out.

has put together one of the best regular seasons for any one athlete with her IC – Liberty program. To kick off their Post Season action, Ramsey picked up right where she left off and that is as a huge mismatch against most. Ramsey was the motor that drove this win for the Lightning. To start things off, she was getting to the bucket off the dribble with extreme confidence. From there, she got in rhythm with her patented mid-range pull up, knocking a few of those down as well. Defensively, she did a good job of recovering to help side at a high rate, while being sound within her man2man principles. When things finalized this was the Player Of The Game. She finished things off with a game-high 34 points, several rebounds, a few assists, and a couple blocks. A stat line that was crucial in her team’s overall success in this contest.

but in reality, I think over the next two years that she is going to continue to show the state of Iowa that she is one of the top 2026 prospects. Ramsey, a South Dakota Women’s Basketball commit, is a mid range specialist, who isn’t afraid to mix it up and get all the way to the bucket for a take. Actually, her IC – Liberty team, loves to run action for her to catch in the post and when she catches it clean with no help-side, it’s usually going to be a good look for her in some way. Not to push through this Winter but I’m excited to see Ramsey again this AAU season. Her Missouri Phenom 17U – Iowa hub team is going to be even more impressive than year’s past and she should will be a starter, so I’m intrigued to see how she handles a roster with most other college committed prospects. Either way though, I’m sure Ramsey will continue to be a name we mention in this state, all the way until she graduates after next Winter.

from doing her thing and putting up a noteworthy stat-line of 29 Points and 6 Rebounds. Ramsey, is a D1 commit, a superior athlete to a lot of others her age with height, she is tough, and she has a silky jumper. The Lightning have a few ballers but if they want to win when it matters this Winter, Ramsey is the main piece to their puzzle. They may of fallen short in this contest but that won’t always be the case. They just need to continue to keep working and then they should like the way things will continue to trend.
