About Nayla
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a versatile guard who looks to play with control and pace, create for myself and my teammates, finish strong at the rim, and stretch the floor with my perimeter game. I have strong court vision, move well without the ball, thrive in transition, and will make the right play. On defense, I'm disciplined, using anticipation and quickness to disrupt plays, cutoff drives, and force turnovers.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a highly coachable and unselfish player who puts team success first. I'm competitive yet composed, and a natural leader who communicates well on and off the court. My work ethic, resilience, and positive energy make me a dependable teammate and someone who looks to consistently elevates the group around me. I thrive on communication and "next play" mentality.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed leadership by stepping up to guide and motivate my teammates, both in practice and during games. Teamwork has been one of my biggest strengths, as I focus on playing unselfishly, supporting others, and building trust on the court. I’ve also grown through community service, where I’ve learned the importance of giving back, staying humble, and being a positive influence. These experie
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
In October of 2025, during our varsity regional championship IHSA flag football game, I suffered a dislocated knee and MPFL tear. I missed4 my entire freshman basketball season as a double rostered JV/V player. I have spent 5 months rehabbing my knee, building strength, and turned this situation into an opportunity to excel in strength training. I am excited to be back on the court.
What type of college are you looking for?
My ideal college choice is a D1 competitive school for Women's Basketball that excels in scholastic opportunities and allows me to be a well-rounded individual. I want to be a part of team success and lead both on and off the court. A school that harnesses diversity, emphasizes women's sports, and has a strong focus on academics would be the right fit for me.
